A TRULY UNIQUE PROJECT with archaeologists uncovered an ancient Bronze Age brewery near Paphos dating back to 1800 BC.
In this historical treasure, beer was brewed with figs, utilizing wild yeast from the fruit’s skin for fermentation.

In this historical treasure, beer was brewed with figs, utilizing wild yeast from the fruit’s skin for fermentation.
At our brewery, we’ve revived this ancient recipe with figs and moun- tain herbs as a unique recipe of Cyprus. We passionately breathed life back into it to create a one-of-a-kind Cyprus Bronze Age Ale. A sweet light 5% alcohol-containing Ale, adorned with the fragrance of moun- tain herbs, and a delightful honey aftertaste has been developed for the island’s visitors and local beer lovers.

Octo microbrewery in collaboration with Tsiak-kas winery and Lahnsteiner brewery are going beyond the normal boundaries of the versatile in-digenous variety of Cyprus, Xynisteri. A combination of the wild yeast from the variety with the brewers yeast create a unique grape ale. A full body grape ale with lingering aromas of citrus and white flowers and a lasting aftertaste.
